All information is treated as confidential.
Confidentiality may be breached where required by law, including:

Anonymised information may be discussed in clinical supervision, in line with UKCP and AFT ethical requirements.

  • Records are stored securely (electronically and/or in locked storage)
  • Access is restricted to the therapist
  • Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect data

7. How Long Information Is Kept
Records are retained in line with professional guidance from UKCP and AFT, typically for up to 7 years after therapy ends (or longer where required by law or safeguarding considerations).

You have the right to:
  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request erasure (where applicable)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent
  • Raise a concern or complaint
